Lead Engineer - Upper Body Architecture

- Participates in the creation of the vehicle architecture, ensuring a balance between product, process, performance, and design, while respecting processes and standards, and securing an optimal compromise between quality, cost, and timing.
- Coordinates the construction of the architecture and the search for solutions within their area, in accordance with the vehicle plan, while ensuring compliance with assembly and disassembly constraints.
- Ensures that all vehicle components are correctly integrated.
- Aligns the team’s activities with the company’s strategy, acting as a leader.
- Guides the team in managing changes and innovations necessary for the company’s progress.
- Ensures the consistent application of engineering processes and standards.
- Develops an action plan for the architecture, for each function, according to the project schedule, providing all necessary numerical and physical elements.
- Applies construction and architectural planning standards.
- Coordinates and validates the integration of components in their area, using numerical and physical models.
- Builds and updates the digital model of their area, in compliance with design and control rules (RCC).
- Oversees the delivery of architectural deliverables for their area (plans, allocated volumes, interface sheets, standard sections, dimension chains, RCC checks), in collaboration with the development team.
- Documents issues in LUP / JIRA.
- Prepares and coordinates meetings for reviewing architectural milestones.
- Leads architecture meetings.
- Requests, during architecture and project meetings, solutions for problems requiring decisions, taking into account quality, cost, and timing aspects.
- Reports progress using standard indicators.
- Manages deviation requests (RCC).
Calificări
- Experience in designing and validating parts and modules using RCC/RTC, BMIR, ASK2, STYP.
- Advanced knowledge of CATIA V6.
- Experience in designing and validating dimension chains and establishing the isostatism of parts
- Familiarity with validation methods, including numerical or physical reassembly and PO50
- Experience in managing the architecture of parts and modules, including their meshing
- Communication skills: structuring and summarizing information.
- Knowledge of vehicle architecture principles, ensuring the best compromise between Quality, Cost, Delivery time, and Performance (QCDP)
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional events, such as stand-ups, work package meetings
- Ability to define and track action plans to achieve objectives
- Experience in vehicle architecture, including the creation of OUV openings
- Knowledge of engineering standards and deviation processes, NDL and NRL.
- Advanced level of English/French.
