Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures / Sheet Metal Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and modifications on helicopter sheet metal structures. • Disassemble assemblies to access faults and carry out necessary repairs.

  • Repair, realign, manufacture, or replace defective structural components.

  • Perform approved structural modifications and apply corrosion protection treatments.

  • Assemble parts using approved fastening techniques (riveting, bonding, screwing, adhesives).

  • Assess and document structural damage in accordance with OEM and regulatory limits.

  • Apply corrosion treatment methods (mechanical and chemical).

  • Ensure compliance with MRM, SRM, ATA chapters, and Airbus repair procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records in CMMS and ensure closure of anomalies.

  • Support audits, inspections, and coordination with OEMs for complex or D-Level repairs.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of ATA Chapter 53 (Structures) for repair solutions.

  • Familiarity with the Structural Repair Manual (SRM) and Maintenance & Repair Manual (MRM).

  • Understanding of the Repair Design Approval Sheet (RDAS) process and when OEM approval is required.

  • Awareness that D-Level repairs are restricted to Airbus, requiring OEM intervention.

  • Knowledge of structural limitations, e.g., Super Puma frame corrosion beyond limits requires Airbus RDAS and OEM technician support.

  • Expertise in helicopter sheet metal structure repair and modification techniques.

  • Skilled in the use of specialized tooling (jigs, fixtures, forming tools).

  • Proficiency with aeronautical fastening and assembly methods (riveting, bonding, screwing, adhesives).

  • Strong knowledge of aeronautical materials (aluminum alloys, titanium, steels).

  • Competence in corrosion prevention and treatment methods.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and maintenance manuals.

  • Familiarity with EASA and FAA standards and compliance requirements.

  • Hands-on experience with CMMS systems.

Certifications / Licenses

  • Valid EASA Part-66 B1.3 or B2 License (preferred).

  • Type training on Airbus Helicopters (e.g., Super Puma / H225) or Leonardo AW series is an advantage.

  • Experience under a Part-145 Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) environment.

  • OEM structural repair training or Airbus SRM/MRM familiarization course desirable.

  • Valid Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety, and EWIS training certificates.
